Sins of the Father is a DnD 5e actual play podcast. The story follows four adolescents each on a journey to find their missing father. After being drawn together by Fate, the children soon realize their stories are intertwined both with each other and with a heroic legacy their fathers never told them about. With sound effects, music, and ambiance, Sins of the Father blurs the line between actual play and audio drama to bring you a quality story that will quickly grab your attention and your heart.

The Cast

Jackson Chandler (he/him) is a purveyor of all things nerdy and fun! You might recognize him from a little show called Sins of The Father (of which he is the Dungeon Master). Jackson considers himself unbelievably lucky to be given the opportunity to become a part of this wonderful bunch of weirdos. Jackson wants you to know: “Being part of the various projects we have going on throughout the Mistconceptions Podcast Network has been an amazing journey, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.”

Marlo “Boggwitch” Boggess (she/her) is a theater performer turned tabletop role playing gamepodcaster/streamer. Roles on major channels include Weave the Tale, FeatherfallTT, and Transient Presents. Marlo is a gifted storyteller with a flair for the dramatic who uses collaborative storytelling elements to entertain listeners and viewers. In addition to her role as Yvalia on Sins of the Father, Marlo is also the editor for Sins of the Father.

Occam Raisor (they/them) grew up in a nerdy household. Introduced to videogames, Magic: The Gathering, and Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition at a young age, Occam was destined to develop a deep love for storytelling. They have an interest in streaming and would like to pursue a career in voice acting in the future. Occam plays the role of Vartash Kaltaniath on Sins of the Father as well as Mohammad Katan on Mistconceptions.

Jacob Massoletti (he/him) was a theater kid in High School, and was just as much of a character as those he played on stage. Jacob has played Dungeons and Dragons since its 3.5 days. He brings his energy and acting talent to every character he’s played and every game he’s run. Now, Jacob plays the role of parent to his son and has resumed acting with his local theatre company. Jacob plays Yabo on Sins of the Father.

At a young age, David White (he/him) had a knack for  telling stories and also creating epic home movies on his camcorder (most of which have been disposed of by men in yellow, puffy suits). David loves to experience stories, whether they be around a gaming table, within the pages of a book, or on a screen. David is the producer of the Mistconceptions Podcast Network, the MC of Mistconceptions, and plays Rickett Covingnell on Sins of the Father.

Shaun Haddock (he/him) (also known as NearTheFurretKing on the interwebs) had a passion all his life for artistic pursuits in many forms, from personal writing to the roleplaying stories in a D&D game. He has always had a love for storytelling and reading so it was no surprise when he decided to join his first streamed D&D campaign. Shaun loves to experience stories and share those experiences with others. Shaun joined the show in Season 2 as Nyx of the Elysium Grove.

Type-o (he/him) is a lifelong lover of fantasy, and grew up creating stories and adventures for his younger siblings. His love for storytelling ultimately led him to TTRPGs after becoming enraptured by a streamed game of Rifts. He has since played in streamed campaigns across numerous channels, and has developed a reputation for his voice acting, multiclassing, and creativity with character concepts. Type-o however, vehemently insisted that he is fully capable of playing a normal character, though refused to look up from statting out his exclusively shield-wielding cybernetic magical girl while saying so. Type-o joined the show during Season 2 as Oswin.
